Radio Dinner Jacket

Hello and welcome to the new ImADinnerJacket.com!

I have been building the new website for a couple of months now and I will continue to tweak and edit bits and pieces into the future. I have been installing and customising applications to display on the site so that everything now has a similar unified theme, as well as a global navigation bar at the top to help navigate the site. 

At the moment there are only a couple of section things: photography, knowledge and this blog.

The photography is a section from the old site where I put up photos that I have taken. The old version was powered by Phormer, an outdated gallery software. It got spammed recently so I deleted it and replaced it with Zenphoto, a wonderful gallery software that does everything I want and need.

Knowledge is a new section that is going to be rarely updated, if ever. It is a place to put all of the notes and bits and pieces that I made during my last year of school. It should prove useful to anyone studying studying a science type course. If you find any problems or errors in the notes, feel free to contact me and I will go and fix it. 

Finally there is this blog. For a long time I have stayed away from blogging, mainly because when the time comes, I can never put into enough words what I want to say (if I have anything to say, that is). I also find it difficult to write anything that will be of relevance to people on the internet who can go to any of millions of other places to read something that interests them. For that reason, updates to this blog may be sparse or boring until I can figure out what to use it for.

As far as new sections, I plan to implement two new sections that will be the most interesting by far. Unfortunately I have not found prebuilt software that will do what I’m looking for (or maybe I just haven’t looked hard enough), so I am coding these sections from scratch. As a noob to php and MySQL, this might take me a little while, so stay tuned to the blog to see progress updates and announcements relating to these sections. Ah, progress updates, I have found a use for this blog now!

Thanks to anyone that has been regularly visiting the front page, only to be greeted by a Dinner Jacket with an arrow and a feeble excuse for lateness. The amount of tweaking and fiddling with themes and CSS has been surprisingly large. And having a job and playing World of Warcraft hasn’t helped . On that note, if you see any problems or inconsistencies throughout the site, feel free to email me and I will get right on to fixing it. You can find my email at the bottom of many pages, unfortunately not this one though. You know what? If you can’t be bothered looking on another page, why not just leave a comment here to tell me?
